booking is advised for highlighted evening classes only. Simply call and we'll save your space up until 15 minutes before class starts after which we give spaces away if others are waiting. No exceptions to this user-friendly policy. Until posted, there's no need to book for morning, early afternoon or 8pm classes, just come on in! You can book up to one week in advance for as many classes as you like.

Hot Yoga
Our core class. The room is heat infused to prevent injury, promote detoxification and enhance a deeper release within the body. Fresh air is circulated and humidity is raised to make conditions ideal for a foundational sequence of 25-30 postures that vary slightly each class to strengthen bones and muscles and keep the mind-body connection sharp—a total body workout! Suitable for the beginner, intermediate or advanced practitioner. 60 to 90 minutes as scheduled.

HOT HAPPY HOUR! Heat up your Friday nights with this special 2 for 1, one-hour hot class.
(First Class $6. All others 2 for 1 entry!)

Power Vinyasa (PV)
A vibrant and inspiring practice that leaves you glowing with that “yoga buzz.” Power Vinyasa is a “flow style” class that combines instruction on form, alignment, flow and strength and power and balance. A continuous rhythm of breath awakens and reconnects you to a stronger and stress-free self. The room is moderately heated. All levels welcome. 60 to 75 minutes as scheduled.

PV POWER HOUR! Jazz up your Friday afternoons with this special 2 for 1, one-hour flow class.

Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga concentrates on floor postures that stretch connective tissue, the ligaments and fascia that bind bone-to-bone at the joints. Connective tissue does not stretch like muscle and takes more time to improve mobility and strength. For this reason the room is moderately warmed and postures are held for longer periods of time. Uplifting music and soft lighting are often incorporated to further calm the mind and release the spiritual potential this practice offers. Perfect for beginners. Also great for top-notch athletes wanting to protect and strengthen their joints. 60 to 90 minutes as scheduled.

Hot Yoga Sampler                                                                     
Curious or little intimidated about hot yoga? These classes are open to anyone wanting to check out the hot yoga scene and experience a taste of the three major modalities we offer: Hot Yoga, Power Vinyasa and Yin Yoga. Every 75-minute class starts with basic breathing techniques, followed by standing postures, a short flow sequence and finally some delicious yin-styled floor stretching poses. You do what you can. You'll learn something new each class developing a strong foundation. All levels welcome. Room is heated. 75 minutes. First time students must arrive 20 early to register and discuss any special needs with the instructor.

Chakras (energy wheels) are connected to your health and energy flow.  Working gently with them can help you tune into where you are on your life path and to work through challenges.

Your heart chakra is at the centre of who you are, where the real you dwells, that loving you, your place of strength, where life can change around you while you remain centred and balanced.

At this workshop you will explore your heart chakra through self-inquiry, exercises and gentle yoga practices. We will also touch on the whole chakra system and address adjustments for where you may be out of balance.

A yoga class with the little ones consists of fun games and stories during which time kids explore their strength and flexibility.  Activity is interspersed with calm poses, and so they practice their ability to concentrate on challenges and then fully relax and experience calmness.  A finale of a guided visualization takes them on a journey exploring where their imaginations can take them. (Max. 12)

Children of this age are able to start refining their yoga postures. They still get a balance between focused activity, challenge and calmness. History
The first performance work recognized as Contact Improvisation is Steve Paxton's Magnesium (1972) which was performed by Paxton and dance students at Oberlin College. Five months after Magnesium Paxton led the first Contact Improvisation performance series at the John Weber Art Gallery in New York City where dancers performed Contact Improvisation in marathon fashion on mats.

Practice and Theory
Contact improvisation can be practiced as concert or social dance form. In the social setting contact improvisation meetings are called ''jams'' in which participants can participate or watch as they choose. The name is perhaps derived from the ''jams'' of jazz musicians, who come together to spontaneously explore musical forms and ideas.

As many teachers say in introductory classes, the floor is your first partner. Contact improvisation techniques can include weight transfer, weight sharing, counter balance, rolling, falling, suspension, and lifting.
